A self-taught talent, Hashimi's early influences stemmed from films, art, and music, with her father and prominent Pakistani artists nurturing her passion for visual storytelling. Hashimi’s career took off during her college years when she partnered with her friend Maram Azmat, a budding makeup artist. Together, they formed the iconic duo "Maram Aabroo," revolutionizing Pakistan's male-dominated fashion industry. As the country’s first female commercial fashion photographer, Hashimi not only set trends but also opened doors for other women in the field. Over two decades, "Maram Aabroo" became synonymous with innovative photography, achieving milestones that reshaped industry norms and aesthetics.
