Amna Yaseen

Amna Yaseen (born 1993) is a visual artist, photographer, and research scholar based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her BFA in Visual Arts from Lahore College for Women University in 2015 and an MPhil in 2019, where she conducted pioneering research on the development of photography in Pakistan since 1947. Renowned for her street and social documentary photography, as well as conceptual self-portraiture, Amna's work has been showcased in 27 exhibitions across cities like Lahore, Karachi, Rome, Tokyo, Manchester, and New York. Her achievements include receiving the Asahi Shimbun Medal at Japan's 77th International Photographic Salon and having her photographs featured in National Geographic’s "Your Shot" in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Her work has also been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the National Museum RAK in the UAE, the Asia Triennial in Manchester, and the Global Images for Global Crisis exhibition in New York. She has actively contributed to climate change initiatives, participated in international residencies, and delivered research papers at art conferences in Pakistan.
