Professor Naazish Atta-Ullah is a distinguished figure in Pakistan's art and education landscape, known for her contributions as an artist, educator, curator, and activist. Born in Australia in 1950, she studied printmaking at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art in London. Ata-Ullah has made significant strides in promoting the arts in Pakistan, particularly through her extensive work at the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore, where she served as Principal from 2007 until her retirement in 2010. She also played a key role in establishing the printmaking studio and program at NCA in 1985, which became an essential part of the fine arts curriculum. Her contributions to the art world have been recognized globally. In 2010, the French government honored her with the title of Knight in the Order of Arts and Literature for her services to art and culture. Atta-Ullah has exhibited her works internationally, with notable exhibitions in Pakistan, India, the UK, and Europe, participating in over 60 shows throughout her career. A Senior Fellow at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Atta-Ullah continues to teach and research, contributing to the development of the country's first MA program in Art Education.
