Sahar Ansari Perez, an acclaimed printmaker and illustrator, seamlessly connects the vibrant cultures of Brazil and Pakistan through her evocative art. Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Lahore, Sahar graduated with distinction in Printmaking from the National College of Arts (NCA) in 2000. In 2017, she reignited her passion for printmaking at EAV Parque Lage, Brazil. Her journey between these two rich cultures deeply shapes her artistic vision, blending traditional and modern techniques. With a boundless love for printmaking, Sahar’s expertise spans stone lithography, etchings, and digital illustrations. Her works have been showcased at prestigious exhibitions and print fairs in Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan, reflecting her innovative approach to the medium. Sahar established "Gravuristão," a studio dedicated to printmaking, blending Portuguese and Urdu to mean "Printmaking Land." This space, equipped with antique etching and lithography presses and a vast library, offers facilities for intaglio, relief, and planography while celebrating traditional stone lithography methods. Despite being based in Rio de Janeiro, Sahar places her trust in Inked for the fine art printing of her exceptional works. This collaboration underscores Inked’s ability to provide top-tier fine art printing and archiving services to artists worldwide, ensuring their creations are preserved and celebrated on a global scale.
