Artists & Illustrators
You don’t need a digital file. Bring the painting, drawing or work on paper itself, and we will capture it, match it to the original, proof it and print the edition.
From the original to the print
We photograph or scan the piece under controlled light against colour references, depending on the work. The file is then matched to the original by eye and by measurement, and you approve a test print on the paper the edition will use before anything else is printed. Much of the work on our roster reached print this way, including artists who died long before digital files existed.
If you already have a file, send a JPEG, TIFF or PNG at 240 dpi or more at the final size, in Adobe RGB with the profile embedded. Every file is checked by hand, and if something would let the print down we tell you before any ink goes on paper.
What we can do for you
Reproduction
Calibrated capture of paintings, drawings and works on paper, matched to the original and proofed before printing.
Giclée on cotton rag
Pigment inks on Hahnemühle and Canson rag. A textured sheet such as William Turner gives a watercolour or drawing the feel of the original paper.
Editions
Numbered limited editions from one approved master. Print three now and thirty later, and they still match. Certificates and numbering on request.
Your master file
We keep the calibrated file, so a reprint years from now starts where the first edition did.
Paper, canvas and size
We print up to 40 inches wide, and the length is effectively unlimited, so scrolls and long formats are possible. A painting that should read as a painted surface can go on archival canvas, supplied loose for your own framer or stretched to order.
Not sure which paper suits the work? The Paper Library shows every stock we print on, and a print consultation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
I have gotten printing services from Shahzeb at Inked for about ten years now. I trust them with the highest quality of materials, services and work ethic.
Tell us about the work
Send the size you have in mind and a photo or file of the piece. For an original, tell us whether you will bring it to the studio or send it.
